Ingredients:
Dark Chocolate – 1/3 cup, coarsely chopped
Walnuts – 1/3 cup, coarsely chopped
Margarine – 1/2 cup
Brown Sugar – 3/4 cup
Granulated Sugar – 1/4 cup
Egg – 1
Egg Whites – 2
Vanilla Extract – 1 tsp
Maida – 1 cup
Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Wheat Flour – 1/2 cup
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Method:
1. Whisk together margarine, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add the egg, egg whites and vanilla.
3. Beat well.
4. In a separate bowl, mix maida, wheat flour, baking soda and salt.
5. Mix the contents of both bowls together.
6. Mix until well combined.
7. Add the chocolates and walnuts.
8. Drop 2 tblsp of batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
9. Using wet fingers, gently press down each cookie, spreading it slightly.
10. Repeat the process for all the cookies.
11. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C/350F for about 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are golden brown on the bottom.
12. Remove and cool on wire racks before serving.
13. Store in an airtight container.
