The tash kebab can be served in many different ways. It can be served with rice, or on its own as an appetizer. It can also be served in a pita bread or wrapped in naan.
Taash Kabab (Tash Kebab)

Ingredients
- 500 g Boneless Lamb cut into 3 inch slices
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- as per taste Salt
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 300 to 400 g Ghee
- a pinch Saffron
- 1 1/2 cup Curd
- Juice of 2 Limes
- 1 kg Onions finely sliced
Instructions
- Mix the garam masala powder, ginger, garlic, salt, red chilli powder, ghee, saffron, curd and lime juice.
- Marinate the lamb pieces in this mixture for 3 to 4 hours.
- Put half the onions in a pan.
- Spread the lamb pieces on top of it and cover with the remaining onions.
- Cover with a lid and cook on low heat with burning coals put on the lid.
- Alternatively, bake in a oven at 275F till the meat and onions are cooked.
- Remove and serve hot with roti, naan or pita bread.
