Ingredients:
Eggs – 6, hard-boiled
Chana Dal – 1/2 cup
Oil – 1 tblsp
Onions – 2, finely sliced
Curry Leaves – 6
Turmeric Powder – a pinch
Water as required
Ginger – 1/2 tsp, ground
Garlic – 1 tsp, ground
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp, dry roasted
Red Chilli Powder as per taste
Tomatoes – 1 to 2, chopped
Salt as per taste
Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch
Method:
1. Boil the chana dal in 2 cups of water till soft.
2. Mash well.
3. Heat oil in a pan.
4. Fry onions till brown.
5. Add curry leaves, turmeric, ginger, garlic and coriander powder.
6. Fry well together.
7. Add chilli powder and dal to fried ingredients.
8. Mix well and cook.
9. Add chopped tomatoes and simmer till well cooked.
10. Add salt as per taste.
11. Pour in 2 cups of water and cook on low heat for 3 minutes.
12. Add the hard-boiled eggs, sliced in half lengthwise.
13. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and cook for a minute, keeping the amount of gravy as required.
