Ingredients:
Mutton – 1 kg, chopped into pieces
Ghee – 1/2 cup
Small Onions – 250 gms, peeled
Cumin Seeds – 1 1/2 tsp
Black Peppercorns – 1 tsp
Black Cardamom – 6
Green Cardamom – 6
Cinnamon – 4 one inch pieces
Cloves – 1 tsp
Bay Leaf – 4
Dried Whole Red Chillies – 2 to 3
Salt – 1 1/2 tsp
Curd – 4 cups
Method:
1. Heat ghee in a pan.
2. Fry the onions for 2 to 3 minutes till slightly pink.
3. Drain and keep aside.
4. Put all the spices and red chillies into the same pan.
5. Fry for 2 minutes.
6. Add meat and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
7. Pour in 300 ml of water.
8. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 60 minutes.
9. Stir in curd and salt.
10. Cook for 30 minutes till meat is tender.
11. Add the onions and cook for another 10 minutes.
12. Serve hot with roti or chapati.
