Ingredients:
Garlic – 10 flakes, finely chopped
Curry Leaves – 1 cup
Tamarind Extract – 1 cup
Bengal Gram Dal – 3 tsp
Red Chillies – 8
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Rice – 1 cup, cooked
Dhaniya (Coriander Seeds) – 2 tsp
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add 6 red chillies, 2 tsp bengal gram dal, dhaniya and curry leaves.
3. Fry nicely for 30 seconds.
4. Then grind it in a mixie and keep aside.
5. In another pan, heat 4 tsp of oil.
6. Add 1 tsp of bengal gram dal, mustard seeds and 2 red chillies.
7. Add garlic pieces and fry for a while.
8. Add the tamarind extract and salt.
9. Let it boil for sometime until it has reduced to half the quantity.
10. Add the ground powder.
11. Add the cooked rice and mix well.
12. Garnish with corinader leaves.
13. Serve hot.
