Ingredients:
Black Masoor – 1 cup
Onion – 2
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Green Chillies – 4, chopped finely
Garlic – 6 flakes
Salt as per taste
Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Tomatoes – 3
Coriander Leaves – 1 small bunch
Lime – 1
Jeera – 1 tsp
Pepper Powder – 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves – to garnish
Method:
1. Soak masoor in water for 1 hour.
2. Add chillies, finely cut ginger and cook separately with enough water till each grain is separate.
3. Slightly mash it.
4. Heat oil in a pan.
5. Season with jeera.
6. Add finely chopped garlic and onions.
7. Fry for a few minutes and add cut tomatoes and stir well.
8. Add to the dal and cook for a few minutes.
9. Squeeze lime before removing from fire.
10. Sprinkle garam masala powder and pepper powder.
11. Garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves.
12. Serve hot.
