Ingredients:
Cabbage – 1, large
For the Filling:
Chicken – 3 cups, minced
Ginger – 2 tsp, chopped
Garlic – 2 tsp, chopped
Onions – 4 tsp, chopped
Green Chillies – 1 tsp, chopped
Black Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp
Clove Powder – 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli Paste – 1 tsp
Almond Paste – 3 tsp
Salt to Taste
For the Curry:
Butter – 2 1/2 tbsp
Onion Paste – 1/4 cup
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – a pinch
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Yellow Chilli Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Saffron – a pinch
Coconut Milk – 1 cup
Cream – 3/4 cup
Method:
1. Cut the stem and blanch the cabbage.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the filling.
3. Place the filling on 2 cabbage leaves and make a roll.
4. Make eight such rolls.
5. Heat butter in a pot.
6. Saute onion paste.
7. Add spices and cook till the oil separates.
8. Place the cabbage rolls carefully in the pot.
9. Pour the coconut milk and cream over them.
10. Seal the lid and cook in a moderately hot oven for 20 minutes.
11. Serve hot.
