Ingredients:
Shrimps – 400 gms
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 1/2 cup
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves -4
Onions – 1/2 cup, chopped
Green Chillies – 2, slit
Ginger – 1 tbsp, chopped
Garlic – 1 tbsp, chopped
Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Mangoes – 1 cup, raw, sliced
Coconut Milk – 1 cup
Method:
1. Marinate the shrimps in turmeric powder and salt, keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a kadai.
3. Saute shrimps.
4. Remove and keep aside.
5. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
6. In the same oil, add curry leaves, onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic.
7. Cook till the onions are lightly browned.
8. Add coriander powder and red chilli powder and stir.
9. Mix the shrimps and mangoes into the curry.
10. Add the coconut milk and cook for 15 to 20 minutes till the curry thickens.
11. Remove from heat.
12. Serve hot.
