Ingredients:
Fish – 500 gms, cut into boneless cubes
Oil – 3 1/2 tbsp
Green Cardamoms – 4
Bay Leaf – 1
Ginger Paste – 1 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste – 1 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Paste – 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Yellow Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Poppy Seed Paste – 2 tsp
Cashewnut Paste – 4 tsp
Brown Onion Paste – 4 tsp
Yoghurt – 1 1/4 cups
Juice of Lemons – 2
Method:
1. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan.
2. Saute cardamoms and bay leaf.
3. Add ginger and garlic pastes and saute for a minute.
4. Add red chilli paste and coriander powder.
5. Stir-fry for another minute and remove from heat.
6. Add all the ingredients except for lemon juice, together with the fish.
7. Transfer this mixture to an oven-proof dish.
8. Cover and seal the dish with dough.
9. Place the dish in an oven at low temperature and allow to cook for 20 minutes.
10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle lemon juice over the fish.
11. Serve hot, accompanied by steamed rice.
