Ingredients:
Lamb – 1 kg, cut into pieces
Vegetable Oil – 1/2 cup
Onions – 2, chopped
Fennel Seeds – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Cloves – 8
Cinnamon – 1 two inch stick
Green Cardamoms – 5
Ginger Paste – 1 tbsp
Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Yogurt – 1 1/2 cups
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Method:
1. Heat the oil in a pan.
2. Add the onions, saute till light brown.
3. Add the whole and powdered spices, lamb, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt and yoghurt.
4. Mix well.
5. Cover with a thick lid that can hold about 1 cm of water on it and cook on a low flame for 2 hours.
6. Remove the lid and continue to cook if you want the preparation to be dry.
7. Add the garam masala.
8. Mix well and serve hot.
