Ingredients

  • One medium White Fish (cleaned and sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp Poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp Rice
  • Few Coriander leaves
  • Refined Flour
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (grated)
  • 12 Cashewnuts
  • 1 tbsp Peppercorns
  • 2 Onions (medium, finely sliced)
  • Big pinch of Sugar
  • 1/2 Coconut
  • 6 Garlic Flakes
  • 4 Green Chillies (slit)
  • 4 Tomatoes (medium, pureed)
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt and Chilli powder to taste

Instructions

  • Marinate fish with salt and turmeric, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Lightly coat fish in flour and fry till golden.
  • Grind cumin, Coriander, poppy seeds, peppercorns, rice, coconut, and cashews into a paste.
  • Extract thick milk; soak squeezed pulp in hot water for thin milk.
  • Fry onions, ginger, and chillies in oil until soft. Add spices, tomatoes, salt, and sugar. Cook until oil separates.
  • Add fish and thin milk, and cook for 5 mins.
  • Pour in thick milk and simmer until heated through.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
