Ingredients:
Urad dal – 100 gms
Paneer – 200 gms
Ghee – 5 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Red chilli paste – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Cinnamon – 2
Cloves – 3
Black cardamoms – 2
Black peppers – 3
Bay leaves – 2
Water as required
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Soak urad dal for 2 to 3 hours
2. Roast all the ingredients for masala in 1/2 tsp oil.
3. Grind to make a fine powder.
4. Cut paneer into pieces and fry in ghee.
5. In another pot, melt ghee and add masala powder.
6. After 2 minutes add the urad dal, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
7. Add a little water and cook on medium heat.
8. After the dal is done, add sugar and lemon juice and stir for a while.
9. Finally mix in the paneer pieces and serve warm.
