Peanut Garlic Podi is a spicy, aromatic powder that’s popular in South Indian homes. I learned this recipe from my grandmother, who’d make big batches to keep the family happy. The combo of crunchy peanuts, spicy red chillies, and raw garlic creates magic in every bite. The coconut adds a subtle sweetness that balances the heat perfectly.

About the Recipe

This podi (spice powder) is super easy to make and needs just a few basic ingredients. The best part? You can adjust the spice level to your taste. The raw garlic gives it a unique kick that store-bought versions just can’t match. It’s perfect for busy people who love homemade condiments but don’t have much time to cook.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

You’ll love how quick and simple this recipe is – it takes just 15 minutes from start to finish. The mix of textures is amazing: coarse-ground peanuts, bits of garlic, and the slight crunch from the coconut. Plus, it stays fresh for weeks in an airtight container. It’s also really flexible – you can make it spicier or milder by changing the number of red chillies.
