Ingredients:
Crabs – 8, medium size
Coconut – 8 tbsp, grated
Kashmiri chillies – 10
Coriander seeds – 2 tbsp
Peppercorns – 10
Cloves – 4
Oil – 2 tbsp
Onions – 2, sliced
Ginger-garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Tamarind juice – 1/4 cup
Green chillies – 2, chopped
Water as required
Method:
1. Clean and wash the crabs properly.
2. Roast the grated coconut lightly.
3. Make a smooth paste of roasted coconut and ground spice ingredients, red and green chillies with a little of water.
4. Fry the onions in hot oil till light brown and add the turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and fry for few more seconds.
5. Now add crabs to the masala, mix well and sprinkle tamarind juice.
6. Add half a cup of water and cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes.
7. Open the lid, stir the ingredients thoroughly and cook till preparation becomes thick.
