Surely. Any long noodle like linguine, fettuccine or lo mein noodles would work great. Just be sure to adjust the cooking time as needed.

    Is this recipe spicy?

No, this garlic noodle dish is not spicy. The flavors are savory and umami-rich from the sauces used. But you could add red pepper flakes if you’d like a kick of heat.

Can I substitute something for the chicken?

Sure, shrimp, beef or even extra veggies like bok choy would be tasty swaps for the chicken if you prefer. Just adjust cooking times accordingly.

How can I make this recipe vegetarian?

Just omit the chicken and oyster sauce (or use a vegetarian oyster sauce). Then load up on extra veggies like broccoli, snow peas or water chestnuts.

What type of soy sauce is best?

For classic flavor, use regular (not light) soy sauce. But you could also try low-sodium soy sauce or tamari to reduce the saltiness a bit.
