Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Potatoes
  • 1/2 cup Sprouted green gram
  • 1/4 cup Finely cut onions
  • 3 Carrots
  • 8 Bread slices
  • 3 tbsp Dry bread crumbs (or Rusk Powder)
  • Salt (as required)
  • 5 tbsp Bengal gram flour
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam Masala powder
  • Oil - to deep fry

Grind together with minimum water :

  • 6 Green chilles
  • 4 Red chilles
  • 3 flakes Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1/4 cup Mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp Roased gram

Instructions

  • Pressure cook potatoes and carrots, then peel and mash.
  • Steam sprouted green gram in a cooker for 3 minutes.
  • Fry onions in oil until crisp.
  • Add cooked gram and fry until moisture is absorbed.
  • Stir in the ground paste and fry until the raw smell goes.
  • Sprinkle Bengal gram flour and stir for 2 minutes on reduced flame.
  • Add mashed potatoes, carrots, salt, and garam masala. Fry briefly.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Dip bread slices in water, squeeze well, and add to the mixture.
  • Mix in bread crumbs and shape into kababs.
  • Bake in the oven with skewers or deep fry in hot oil.
