Ingredients:
Chicken – 500 gms, washed, cleaned, chopped into bite-sized pieces
Corn Flour – 1 tblsp
Oil – 30 ml
Onion – 1, finely sliced
Ginger – 1 tblsp, grated
Garlic – 4 to 5 cloves, finely chopped
Spring Onions – few, chopped, for garnish
For the sauce:
Soya Sauce – 1 tsp
Water – 1/4 cup
Vinegar – 1/2 tblsp
Tomato Puree – 1/4 cup
Corn Flour – 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
2. Keep aside.
3. Add the chicken and corn flour into a plastic bag.
4. Shake well until the chicken pieces are well coated with the flour.
5. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
6. Fry the chicken pieces till golden and cooked.
7. Remove and drain excess oil.
8. Add the sliced onion, ginger and garlic to the pan.
9. Stir-fry until the onions turn transparent.
10. Add the chicken pieces and mix well.
11. Add the sauce and cook till the sauce starts to thicken a bit.
12. Remove and transfer to a serving dish.
13. Garnish with spring onions.
14. Serve.
