Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reduce the sugar in this recipe?

Yes, you can reduce the sugar to 100 grams without affecting the texture. The biscuits will be less sweet but still tasty. If you’re watching your sugar intake, you can also skip the final sugar dusting.

Why do we need to make holes with a fork?

The holes help the biscuits bake evenly and prevent them from puffing up too much. They also create that classic biscuit look and help steam escape during baking.

How do I know when they’re done if using the stovetop method?

The biscuits should be light golden on the bottom and firm to touch. Let them cool completely – they’ll crisp up more as they cool. If they’re still soft after cooling, you can cook them a bit longer.
