Ingredients:
Maida (Plain Flour) – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1/3 cup, granulated
Cocoa Powder – 3 tblsp, unsweetened
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Milk – 1/4 cup
Vanilla Extract – 1/2 tsp
Walnuts – 1/3 cup, chopped
Light Brown Sugar – 1/3 cup
Hot Water – 1 cup
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Vegetable Oil – 1 tblsp
Melted Dark Chocolate to serve
Method:
1. Combine the flour, sugar, 2 tblsp cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
2. Add oil, vanilla extract and milk.
3. Stir until smooth.
4. Add the walnuts and pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
5. Mix the brown sugar and 1 tblsp cocoa powder in a small bowl.
6. Sprinkle this over the batter.
7. Pour hot water on top and place the baking pan into a preheated oven at 350F/180C.
8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is cracked and the brownie is firm.
9. Remove and keep aside to cool.
10. Pour the melted chocolate on top and serve.
