Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 Potatoes
  • 2 Onions (finely chopped)
  • 3 to 4 cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • Curry Leaves (few)
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Coriander Leaves (few, finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Saunf
  • 2 tsp Bengal Gram Dal
  • 2 tsp Urad Dal
  • 3 to 4 tsp Lemon Juice (optional)

Instructions

  • Boil, peel, and cube the potatoes.
  • Heat oil, fry mustard seeds, saunf, and dals for 30 seconds.
  • Add onions, curry leaves, and garlic; sauté until golden.
  • Stir in red chilli powder, turmeric, and salt.
  • Add potatoes, cook until the masala sticks.
  • Add lemon juice (optional) and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot.
