A delicious and tasty Chinese style Chicken Wings.
Ingredients:
Chicken Wings – 500 gms, cut into two, tips removed
Ginger – 1 tblsp, peeled, grated
Garlic – 1 tsp, minced
Sesame Oil – 1 tblsp
Chinese Rice Wine – 3/4 tblsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Honey – 1 1/2 to 2 tblsp
Soy Sauce – 1/4 tblsp
Oyster Sauce – 1 1/2 tblsp
Spring Onions – 1 tblsp, chopped
Sunflower Oil – 2 tblsp
Method:
1. Heat sunflower oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Add ginger and garlic.
3. Saute for a minute.
4. Add the chicken wings, sesame oil, chinese rice wine and salt.
5. Stir and cover the pan with a lid.
6. Reduce flame and cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked and tender.
7. Mix honey, soy sauce and oyster sauce in a bowl.
8. Pour this over the chicken wings and mix well.
9. Cook for another 5 to 10 minutes.
10. Switch off flame and remove.
11. Garnish with spring onions.
12. Serve at once.
Tip: If desired, sprinkle a bit of white sesame seeds.
