Ingredients:
Potatoes – 250 gms, boiled, peeled
Garam Masala Powder – 50 gms
Garlic – 2 cloves
Sambar Onions – 100 gms, peeled, chopped
Tomato – 1, chopped
Ginger – 3/4 tsp, grated
Black Peppercorns – 1/2 tsp
Saunf – 1/2 tsp
Coconut – 1/4 tsp, finely chopped or grated
Green Chilli – 1
Oil as required
Curry Leaves – 2 tsp
Coriander Leaves – 2 tsp
Mustard Seeds – little
Urad Dal – little
Method:
1. Heat little oil in a pan.
2. Add the mustard seeds and urad dal for 30 seconds.
3. Add the onions, green chilli, garam masala powder, curry leaves and tomatoes.
4. Saute well.
5. Grind together the coconut, saunf, garlic, ginger and peppercorns.
6. Add to the pan and mix well.
7. Add the potatoes and stir well to mix.
8. Add a little water and salt.
9. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until moisture has almost evaporated.
10. Remove and serve as a side dish with roti, rice or chapati.
