Ingredients:
Vazhaipoo (Banana Flower) – 1 cup, cleaned, washed, chopped
Drumstick Leaves – 1/2 cup, cleaned, chopped
Buttermilk – 1 tblsp
Turmeric Powder – a pinch
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Urad Dal – 1 tsp
Saunf – 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilli – 1
Coconut – 3 tblsp, grated
Tomato – 1
Green Chilli – 1
Coriander Leaves – 2 tsp, chopped
Oil – 1 tsp
Salt as er taste
Method:
1. Grind the coconut, green chilli, saunf, tomato and coriander leaves coarsely, without adding water.
2. Heat oil in a pan.
3. Fry the mustard seeds, urad dal and dry red chilli for 30 seconds.
4. Add the chopped banana flower and saute well.
5. Add salt, turmeric powder, buttermilk and little water.
6. COok till half done.
7. Add the drumstick leaves and cook till done.
8. Add the ground coconut mixture and mix well.
9. Cook for a minute more and remove.
10. Serve hot.
